WWE Extreme Rules Pre-Show

The pre-show is now officially underway, featuring our panel consisting of Josh Mathews, Alex Riley, Booker T and Sheamus. The guys run down the key matches on tonight’s show, all-the-while we hear a very loud and passionate “Yes!” chant in the background from the New Jersey fans. Video packages are shown, the guys run down matches, we check in with Renee Young in the “social media lounge,” etc. The usual pre-show stuff. The first match, which will be the “WeeLC” match between El Torito and Hornswoggle, is coming up in just a minute or so. Now we hear a pretty loud “CM Punk” chant from the fans in the IZOD Center. Sounds like we’ve got ourselves a hot crowd so far.
WeeLC Match
- El Torito vs. Hornswoggle
The pre-show panel shoots off to the announce table where Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL welcome us to the show. Seated in front of them, which Cole introduces, are a bunch of midgets doing special commentary. The ring announcer is a midget. The announcers (the normal crew) are already making a ton of puns and bad jokes. “I hope this is a short match,” etc. El Torito is introduced first and he comes out with his Los Matadores partners. The regular commentary team is interacting with the midget commentary team, and even the midget commentary team are making bad jokes. “I think that comment went over my head, King!” says one of the “little people” announcers. Now Hornswoggle is introduced and he comes out with his 3MB partners. It’s time for the very legendary, first-ever “WeeLC” match, ladies and gentlemen!
The bell rings, and our special midget referee makes this one official. Torito gets the early advantage. The regular and midget commentary team are talking back-and-forth, communicating with each other and also taking turns at calling the midget-action in the ring. They are making so many bad little-people style jokes already that it’s impossible to keep count. We already have our first mini-foreign object, as a small chair is brought into the ring.
Jinder Mahal is mixed into the action now, taking gores in the nuts, etc. The announcers make jokes about Mahal’s height, saying he’s almost short enough to be a part of this match. A mini ladder is brought into the ring. The midget throws it out of the ring. He gets another ladder, which is still small, but a tad-bit larger than the previous Hornswoggle goes to the top of the ladder and poses, giving off the impression that “I’m gonna do it fans! I’m gonna risk my life and jump off of this — two foot tall — ladder!” In all honesty, this is actually very entertaining. It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect, by the way. We head to a mid-match commercial.
When we return from commercial, 3MB and Los Matadores are shown fighting in the aisle. We see some highlights of some “mini-high spots” that took place during the commercial. The announcers continue firing off bad midget-jokes as the action between the key principles continues inside the ring. Hornswoggle hits RVD’s “Rolling Thunder” move for a near fall. Hornswoggle clears off the midget announce table, which is obviously a smaller version of a regular announce table. The announcers are putting this over like the most dangerous thing ever. Horny jumps off the apron and splashes onto Torito through the table.
Following the mini-table spot, the New Jersey fans break out in a “this is awesome” chant. The action returns to the ring, where 3MB and Horny are standing around as Torito is laid out. Horny blasts him with the mini-chair. Horny goes to hit Torito, who is being held by Heath Slater on the apron, with a mini-chair, but Torito moves. This leads to Horny accidentally hitting Slater, knocking him off the apron and crashing through a couple of real-sized tables on the floor. Seconds later, another big table spot happens with Los Matadores and Torito crashing through regular sized tables on the opposite side of the floor outside the ring. About a minute later, Torito puts Horny through a table in the ring. 1-2-3. El Torito wins the first-ever “WeeLC” match. Really fun stuff.

WWE Extreme Rules 2014

After the “WeeLC” match some more highlights and video packages are shown, as well as a quick backstage promo from Zeb Colter. He didn’t really say anything of note. Basic stuff, ending with his “we the people” catchphrase. Ladies and gentlemen, the 2014 edition of WWE Extreme Rules is officially underway. The typical kick-ass video package airs to open the show, and then we shoot live into the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Triple-Threat Elimination Match
- Rob Van Dam vs. Cesaro (with Paul Heyman) vs. Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter)
After a quick glimpse inside the IZOD Center, we immediately hear Rob Van Dam’s theme music. RVD makes his way to the ring as Michael Cole formally welcomes us to WWE Extreme Rules. After that, Jack Swagger, accompanied as usual by Zeb Colter, makes his way to the ring. As they make their way to the ring, highlights are shown of what transpired throughout the past few weeks with all three of these guys.
Then, we hear Paul Heyman’s voice. He brags a bunch and then talks about how Extreme Rules is the one night a year “WWE gets it right.” He continues putting over extreme stuff, alluding to ECW to get some cheers and then quickly swerves and starts talking about how his client — Brock Lesnar — conquered the streak. He then introduces his new client, whom he calls the new “King of Extreme,” Cesaro. Cesaro’s annoying theme music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Our first pay-per-view match is now officially underway, folks!
All three guys brawl early to kick this one off. When the smoke clears, Van Dam is the guy in control of the offense early on. Van Dam hits a bunch of his trademark moves and spots until Cesaro finally catches him and muscles him up and slams him down. Cesaro powerbombs Van Dam on the floor to slow down his momentum. The fans have been chanting “RVD” quite a bit so far, by the way.
Swagger gains the upper-hand offensively and is dominating both guys for a minute or so. Cesaro ends up catching Swagger’s legs. Cesaro does the Cesaro-Swing to Swagger. The fans count along with each swing, but Cesaro is eventually cut-off by a big kick from Van Dam. The fans boo Van Dam for interupting the swing.
Van Dam comes off the top-rope, however he is caught by the foot by Swagger and is locked up in the Patriot Lock. Cesaro ends up breaking that up. Cesaro ends up hitting a superplex on Swagger off the top-rope. Van Dam immediately hits a Five Star Frogsplash as soon as Swagger landed. Van Dam covers him and 1-2-3. There’s some confusion in the building, as fans didn’t seem to realize this is an elimination match. Eventually, Lilian Garcia gets on the house mic and announces that Jack Swagger has been eliminated.
Cesaro and Van Dam lock horns and now the two crowd-favorites are battling it out. Cesaro does one of his pure-muscle slams on Van Dam, picking him up without any help of Van Dam assisting him with his own momentum. The fans break out in a “Ce-sar-o” chant, so it seems — for now at least — that they are routing for Cesaro to get the “W” in this one.
Van Dam regains the offensive upper-hand again, and is doing his typical RVD moves in sequence, basically the same stuff we’ve seen him do for years. We get a shot of Heyman freaking out on the floor, shouting to Cesaro that “this is what I told you about this guy!” Meanwhile, Van Dam pulls a trash can out from under the ring. Cesaro ends up baseball-sliding it into RVD’s face before he can take it into the ring.
The action resumes in the ring, where Cesaro now has the trash can. Van Dam rolls Cesaro up for a pin attempt, using only his legs. Van Dam puts the now crushed trash can on top of Cesaro and climbs to the top-rope. Van Dam goes for the Five Star Frogsplash, but Cesaro moves. Cesaro hits his Neutralizer finisher on Van Dam onto the trash can. 1-2-3. Cesaro wins.
Winner: Cesaro
Backstage: Daniel Bryan & Stephanie McMahon
Backstage, we see a doctor checking on Daniel Bryan’s condition. Stephanie McMahon walks in with her serious/sad face. She basically warns Bryan that she can’t control Kane now that he’s under the mask again, and now that he’s the “monster” again. Stephanie tells Bryan he doesn’t have to compete tonight if he doesn’t want to. She says he can officially surrender the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Daniel Bryan tells Stephanie to “get out of my face.” He says he’s walking in as the champ tonight, and somehow he’ll find a way to walk out the same. Steph says he may not even be walking out tonight, and furthermore, he’s going to end up as “Kane’s bitch.” She walks off as the fans in the arena gasp.
Alexander Rusev (with Lana) vs. R-Truth & Xavier Woods
“The Ravishing Russian” is introduced. Lana says she and Rusev are dedicating tonight’s match to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. After that, she introduces Rusev. “The Bulgarian Brute” makes his way to the ring. Out next, rapping the entire time, is the duo of R-Truth and Xavier Woods. Truth dedicates the match to the United States of America.
Woods runs to the ring and Rusev immediately floors him with a big boot to the face. The action spills out to the floor, where Rusev is now dominating Truth as well. Rusev hits a big throwing back-suplex on Woods on the floor. Back in the ring, Truth is standing alone. The bell rings and our “handicap match” is now officially underway.
Rusev is dominating, exactly as you would expect, so far in this match. Truth finally gets some offense in. He can’t get him off his feet until he finally drops him with a missile dropkick. Truth is actually getting in a considerable amount of offense at this point. We see a shot of doctors attending to Woods outside the ring.
Truth goes to continue his offensive attack, however Rusev hits the ropes and ends up coming off and dropping Truth with a flying spinning-kick. Lana orders Rusev to “crush him” from outside the ring, so Rusev obliges. Rusev applies “The Accolade” and Truth taps out. Rusev wins.

After The Match
As “The Bulgarian Brute” and “The Ravishing Russian” were heading up the aisle, Lana orders Rusev to crush him some more. Rusev attacks Truth, hitting a big fall-away slam on him on the floor. His music hits again and finally he and Lana make their way to the back.
Lilian Garcia Promotes The Special Olympics
After a quick commercial, Lilian Garcia talks about the Special Olympics, which WWE is a proud sponsor of, and which will be held in New Jersey as well. She points out some Special Olympics athletes at ringside.
Backstage: Renee Young Interviews Evolution
Backstage, Renee Young is with all three members of Evolution. Triple H starts off the promo. He addresses Evolution’s egos and how The Shield said it will be their downfall. HHH puts over Batista, Randy Orton and then himself. Randy Orton follows up by guaranteeing that The Shield will perish tonight. He closes by saying, “you can believe in that.” All three touch hands like The Shield and that ends the backstage segment.
WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Bad News Barrett vs. Big E. (c)
After the backstage segment, Bad News Barrett’s music hits and 15,000 or so WWE fans in New Jersey absolutely explode. Barrett cuts a promo on his way to the ring, of course informing everyone that he’s “got some bad news.” After his promo, we see some highlights of the Intercontinental Championship contender tournament and everything that went down to get Barrett to this point tonight. Finally, the WWE I-C champ’s music hits and Big E. makes his way to the ring.
It’s back-and-forth action early on until Big E. finally establishes the upper-hand in the offense. The I-C champ hits a belly-to-belly slam and a clothesline. He goes for a suplex on the apron but Barrett decks him. Big E. turns around and spears him off of the apron onto the floor. He rolls Barrett back in the ring, but Barrett comes out of nowhere and hits his Winds of Change semi-finisher for a near fall. Barrett connects with his Wasteland semi-finisher and then sets Big E. up for the Bad News Bull Hammer Elbow.
Barrett goes for the Bad News Bull Hammer Elbow, but Big E. avoids it and floors Barrett. Big E. is firing up now, as he pulls down the straps. He whips Barrett into the ropes, but Barrett ducks, hits the opposite ropes and comes flying off with a successful Bad News Bull Hammer Elbow. He immediately covers the champ — 1-2-3. We have a new WWE Intercontinental Champion, folks!

Faction vs. Faction
- Evolution vs. The Shield
The video package is shown to tell everyone the story behind the Evolution vs. The Shield feud. After the video package, Evolution’s theme music hits and out walks Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton. As all three Evolution members stretch and prepare in the ring, a loud “Shield, Shield, Shield” chant breaks out. Several seconds goes by without The Shield’s theme music ever hitting the loud speakers. Finally, after a solid 20 seconds or so, their music finally does hit. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins make their way to the ring through the crowd.
The bell rings and here we go. This has a good feel to it already. All three members of The Shield beat down all three members of Evolution, dumping each of them outside of the ring straight out of the gate. When the smoke clears, Triple H and Seth Rollins are in the ring, and within seconds HHH is in control. HHH and Orton take turns beating on Rollins. Batista, who has sorta-kinda new ring gear, is finally tagged in, and he picks up where his fellow Evolution buddies left off. He dominates Rollins for just a minute or two and then tags “The Viper” back into the match.
Rollins takes a couple more minutes of punishment and then finally makes the hot-tag to Dean Ambrose. The reigning WWE United States Champion hits the ring and is beating down anything that moves. Eventually, after some interferenfce, Orton locks Ambrose in the figure-four leg lock to slow down his momentum. Roman Reigns finally hits the ring to break things up. Reigns is outside the ring now with Batista, which is what the camera is focusing on at the moment, and we see Reigns manhandling “The Animal.” He slams him around with ease and then hits a vicious spear on Batista into the barricade.
Meanwhile, back in the ring, behind the referee’s back, Ambrose is getting double-teamed by two and three members of Evolution. A loud “Boo-tista” chant breaks out as “The Animal” continues to keep the offensive pressure on Ambrose. Evolution start utilizing quick-tags to keep fresh guys on Ambrose.
The three Evoution members keep taking turns tagging each other in to keep fresh guys on top of Ambrose. A pattern is forming where every single time Batista gets tagged in, the fans absolutely explode with a “Boo-tista” chant or just straight boo’s. As “The Animal” went to work on Ambrose this particular time, a loud “you can’t wrestle” chant immediately spread throughout the arena. Batista quickly tagged back out.
The match started off with Rollins stuck in the ring selling to all three members of Evolution, one at a time, before finally making the tag to Ambrose, who had all of a minute of offense, before the same thing happened to him. After several minutes of Ambrose being dominated by all three members of Evolution, each utilizing quick-tags, finally — finally, Roman Reigns gets the hot-tag.
Reigns takes the tag and now The Shield are having their first true offensive burst in this match. Reigns is spearing anything that moves. He’s blasting fools with wicked Superman punches. He’s dominating the hell out of any-and-everything that moves inside the 20 x 20 squared circle. The fans break out in a “Roman Reigns” chant. After a bunch of interference, Evolution finally manages to slow down Reigns’ momentum.
After some sneak-attacks and double-and-triple team spots, Reigns is on his back. Triple H blasts him with a Pedigree. Now Orton blasts him with an RKO. Batista crawls over to pin him, but Rollins manages to make the save. The action spills out to the floor. A loud “this is awesome” chant breaks out. There are bodies everywhere. There’s a member of each faction battling against one-another in different spots throughout the arena. All six guys are spread around in the crowd in pairs, with a member of The Shield and a member of Evolution fighting at all the various parts of the arena.
The cameras follow two pairs of guys on opposite ends of the arena — still in the crowd — while we get a shot to let us know that two of the guys are laid out in the ring. Some of the guys are way up near the top of the arena now. HHH and Orton end up together and are working over Ambrose in the crowd in a two-on-one scenario. Out of nowhere, Seth Rollins comes flying into the camera-shot, taking out both HHH and Orton. The fans explode with “holy shit” chants.
Now the camera focuses on Roman Reigns and Batista inside the ring. They finally get to their feet and Batista spears Reigns. The fans boo like crazy. Batista misses another attempted move and Reigns follows up with his Superman punch. Reigns squats in the corner and waits for “The Animal” to get up. When he finally does, Reigns greets him with an enormous spear. He covers him — 1-2-3. Roman Reigns scores the pin and The Shield gets the victory.
Winners: The Shield

Steel Cage Match
- Bray Wyatt (with Luke Harper & Erick Rowan) vs. John Cena
The video package airs showcasing the build-up to tonight’s steel cage match between the leader of The Wyatt Family and the leader of the Ce-Nation. After the video package, John Cena’s theme music hits. The fans completely erupt with boo’s. Usually I’ll reference a loud “mixed-bag” reaction for Cena’s entrances, especially at big shows. Not tonight, folks! This arena just boo’d the living hell out of Cena. After Cena’s entrance, The Wyatt Family’s theme music hits and the fans explode with cheers. The Wyatt Family makes their way to the ring and we’re now just moments away from our steel cage match.
Bray Wyatt is hesitant to get into the cage. We see John Cena testing the durability of the cage inside the ring. A loud “Cena sucks” chant breaks out. Finally, the leader of The Wyatt Family enters the ring and the bell sounds. Our steel cage match is officially underway. Michael Cole explains the rules of a steel cage match as the noise in the arena picks up as Wyatt and Cena close in on each other.
The action begins and with a simple headlock from Cena, the fans boo the crap out of him. With a simple shoulder-block by Wyatt, the fans erupt with cheers. Looks like we’re going to have an extremely (no pun intended) hot crowd for Wyatt, and an extremely (again, zero pun intended) anti-Cena crowd. A loud “let’s go Wyatt” chant breaks out as Bray gets the early advantage in this one.
The fans are literally boo’ing everything that Cena does offensively and are cheering anything Wyatt does offensively. You have to assume they’ll settle down at some point, but at three minutes into this match, they are still very loud and passionate with their pro-Wyatt and anti-Cena chants.
Cena suplexes Bray and climbs the cage, but Harper and Rowan cut him off so Cena drops back down and Bray clotheslines him. Bray elbows him and throws him facefirst into the cage, then he holds Cena against the cage and Rowan rams him with his shoulder from the outside. Bray gets the crowd to sing with him as he clotheslines Cena on the apron, then he goes for the cage door but Cena cuts him off and slingshots him into the cage wall.
As the match continues, we see consistent examples of Cena trying to escape the cage but Erick Rowan and Luke Harper stop him from outside of the ring. Eventually, Rowan and Harper get physically involved, climbing the cage and fighting Cena on top of the cage, etc. Cena ends up slamming Harper off the top of the cage into the ring, so now he’s locked in a cage with Harper and Wyatt.
Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail, but Cena avoids it and counters him into the STF. Wyatt crawls towards the door where Rowan helps him escape. Now Harper is back up and he helps Wyatt gain the upper-hand over Cena in the ring. Wyatt begins to climb up the cage, looking to escape, but Cena ends up stopping him and nailing him with a huge Attitude Adjustment off the middle-rope. Cena goes for the pin but Harper, who’s still locked inside the cage with these two, breaks up the fall.
Cena goes to climb the cage and escape, but Rowan climbs up the cage from outside the ring and stops him. Cena bashes Rowan’s head off the top of the cage and then turns his attention back to the ring. He turns around and nails Wyatt with a huge top-rope legdrop. Cena goes to escape through the cage door and then The Wyatt Family cut-in happens. When the lights come back on, Cena sees a little kid singing “he’s got the whole world in his hands,” only the kid had a deep, monster-sounding voice due to an effect on the microphone. Cena turns around and walks right into Sister Abigail from Wyatt. Wyatt escapes the cage and wins.

WWE Divas Championship
- Tamina Snuka vs. Paige (c)
After a quick check-in with the pre-show panel, Tamina Snuka’s music hits. Snuka makes her way to the ring as Michael Cole promotes WWE Slam City. Out next is the WWE Divas Champion Paige. Our second-to-last match of the evening is just moments away.
The bell rings and here we go with Divas Championship action. Paige is utilizing her speed and quickness to gain the offensive edge over the larger challenger early on. JBL informs us that Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka is backstage at the show tonight to watch his daughter Tamina hopefully win the Divas Championship.
Eventually Tamina’s size and strength is too much for the Divas Champion to handle, as she takes over the offensive momentum in this title bout. The action spills out to the floor where Tamina delivers more punishment to the champ. Back in the ring, Tamina continues her assault on the England native. The crowd, by the way, which has been electric all night long, is absolutely dead for this one.
Paige ends up hitting one of her finishers (I believe) and the referee goes for the count. He actually hit his hand on the mat three times, but that wasn’t the finish. The announcers try covering for him by saying that the ref did make a three-count, but Tamina just happened to kick out before the third time his hand hit the mat. Whoops! Tamina goes for the superkick, but Paige avoids it and counters it into her Paige-turner submission hold. Tamina immediately taps out.

Backstage: The Wyatt Family & “Little Johnny”
Backstage, we see Erick Rowan and Luke Harper with “Little Johnny,” as Bray Wyatt (off-camera, at first) refers to him as. He says “Little Johnny” did good tonight. In his weird-ass way of telling a story, Bray basically explains that much like “Little Johnny,” other kids are going to end up following the buzzards as well. The kid is shown wearing an Erick Rowan-style sheep mask.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship
(Extreme Rules Match)
- Kane vs. Daniel Bryan (c)
The video package for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between the leader of the “Yes! Movement” and “The Devil’s Favorite Demon” airs, highlighting the history of the recent Daniel Bryan and Kane feud, complete with a ton of annoying sound-bytes of Stephanie McMahon screeching and screaming in promos throughout the past few weeks.
After the video package concludes, Daniel Bryan’s music hits and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion “Yes!” chants his way down to the ring as an entire arena full of people chant along with him. This is definitely a Daniel Bryan crowd folks, as we see a wide-shot of the entire building all throwing their hands up at approximately the same time, chanting “Yes!” together with the champ. After D-Bry’s entrance, the fire pyro explodes and out walks Kane.
Kane doesn’t make it to the ring, as he and Bryan brawl immediately in the aisle and Kane instantly gains the upper-hand. Kane blasts Bryan with some foreign objects and then throws him back into the ring.
The action doesn’t stay in the ring long, as after a brief flurry of quick offense from Bryan, Kane takes over again and brings the fight back outside of the ring on the floor. Kane beats down Bryan some more and then the action resumes inside the ring.
There’s a kendo stick and a steel chair in the ring now, as the foreign objects start to pile up in this “extreme rules match.” Kane slams Bryan on an opened up chair for a near fall.
The two brawl all over the place, eventually heading out to the back. Bryan gets bashed into a car. He ends up ducking and Kane puts his hand through a car window. Bryan grabs a tire iron from the trunk of another car. When Kane turns around, Bryan blasts him with it.
Bryan and Kane continue fighting all over the backstage area, ultimately leading to a spot where Bryan lays Kane out on a forklift. He drives the forklift back into the arena and down to ringside. He raises it and dumps Kane into the ring. The fans boo, expecting a spot up there. Bryan, never one to displease, climbs up the vehicle and does a huge dive off the top of it and blasts Kane with a super-flying headbutt for a close near fall.
The two battle back-and-forth in the ring for a bit, leading to a spot where Bryan secures the “Yes! Lock” on Kane, but doing so with a kendo stick. Kane eventually escapes. Bryan knocks Kane out to the floor. Bryan goes for his trademark running-dive through the ropes, but Kane catches him coming down and chokeslams him with a vengeance through the announce table.
Kane goes under the ring and grabs a table. He opens it up and sets it up outside the ring. However, he’s not done. He grabs gasoline and covers the table in it. He lights the table on fire as the crowd goes ballistic. Bryan ends up knocking Kane into — and through — the table. It looked like Kane was actually on fire for a second or two after going through the table, and ringside staff ended up having to use a fire extinguisher on him for several seconds. He gets back in the ring, running directly into a flying knee from Daniel Bryan. 1-2-3. Bryan retains.

- Cole leads us into a look back at the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. We come back to the Superdome and Howard Finkel introduces Michael & Daniel Moody on behalf of Paul Bearer, Mr. T, Carlos Colon, Jake Roberts, Lita and Razor Ramon. The Ultimate Warrior's music hits and he comes out last to be introduced.

- We go backstage and see Daniel Bryan having his shoulder worked on by trainers.

- Cole shows us the Spanish announcers, including Ricardo Rodriguez. Earlier we were shown the French announcers at ringside. Cole leads us to a video for The Streak.

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker

We go to the ring and out first comes Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman. They get a big pop. The lights go down and the druids start up as a video flashes looking at The Undertaker's WrestleMania victims. A casket is rolled out to the stage. The lights go out as Taker's gong begins. Taker comes walking out to a huge pop. We see the casket pop open on the stage as Lesnar looks on and Taker starts marching to the ring. Taker looks back at the casket and it explodes in flames for some reason. Taker continues heading to the ring.

Taker and Lesnar meet in the middle of the ring and the bell rings. They start brawling and Taker takes Lesnar to the corner. Taker gets reversed and Lesnar hits a big belly to belly suplex. Lesnar clotheslines Taker out tot he floor but Taker lands on his feet. Taker fights back in the ring but Lesnar hits knees to the gut. Lesnar with the forearms to the chest like Sheamus. Taker drops him over the top rope. Taker with more strikes in the corner. Taker works on the arm now. Taker sends Lesnar flying into the ring post shoulder first.

They fight outside of the ring and come back in. Lesnar blocks Old School and hits shoulder thrusts in the corner. Lesnar charges but Taker moves and Lesnar runs into the ring post. Taker sends Lesnar into the steps and boots his shoulder. The crowd doesn't seem into it much as they fight around ringside. Taker hits the big leg drop on the apron. Taker brings it back in and nails Snake Eyes. Taker goes for a chokeslam but Lesnar slides out. Lesnar goes for a F5 but Taker counters and sends Lesnar back into the corner. Taker misses a running boot and gets hung up in the corner. Brock slams Taker's leg into the ring post. Taker with an elbow to the face. Taker slams Taker by his leg hard on the floor. Lesnar brings it back in the ring and keeps control of Taker. Lesnar works on the leg but Taker tries to fight back. Lesnar knocks him back down and stomps as Heyman looks on. Lesnar with a boot to the throat now. Lesnar keeps up the assault and sends Taker into the barrier. Taker fights back but Lesnar whips him hard into the barrier again. Lesnar brings Taker back in and hits a suplex.

Lesnar continues beating Taker around. Taker manages to hit a big DDT out of nowhere finally. Lesnar runs into a big boot in the corner. Taker backs Lesnar into the corner and hits a big clothesline. Taker with another running clothesline. Taker scoops Lesnar and drops him for Snake Eyes again. Taker with a running big boot. The crowd wakes up some. Taker with a big leg drop and a 2 count. Taker goes for a chokeslam and nails it. Taker with a close 2 count. Taker goes for a Tombstone but Lesnar slides out. Lesnar nails a big F5 and covers for a 2 count. Taker can't seem to get up as Lesnar stands over him. Taker suddenly pulls Lesnar into a Hell's Gate submission. Taker tightens the hold but Lesnar breaks it with a powerbomb. Lesnar drags Taker back but Taker locks another Hell's Gate in. Lesnar breaks it again by lifting Taker for another big powerbomb.

Lesnar comes back and applies the Kimura Lock. Taker turns it around with a submission on Lesnar. They struggle but Taker keeps it tight. Lesnar grabs the bottom rope and breaks the hold. Lesnar with shots to the kidney now. Lesnar with shoulder thrusts in the corner. Lesnar runs into a big boot and goes down. Taker walks the rope for Old School but Lesnar grabs him off the rope and hits a F5 for a close 2 count. Lesnar with a German suplex to Taker and another. Heyman screams a pep talk at Lesnar as he unloads on Taker in the corner. Lesnar mounts Taker in the corner with right hands but Taker turns it into a Last Ride. Taker gets to his feet and waits. Taker scoops him for a Tombstone and nails it but Lesnar kicks out at 2.

Taker sits up, stands up and cuts his throat. Lesnar counters the Tombstone and turns it into a F5. He nails it for the win

Winner: Brock Lesnar

- Everyone is shocked. It looks like every single person in the crowd is just shocked and can't believe what they just saw. Heyman hits the ring and is freaking out that Lesnar won. Lesnar can't believe it but starts to smile. There are people in the crowd who look like they're about to be sick. Lesnar and Heyman hit the stage but get booed. Taker sits up in the ring after Lesnar leaves. Taker gets to his knees and fans start chanting his name. Taker struggles to get up as we see a 21-1 graphic on the big screen in the Superdome. Taker finally gets to his feet and we hear a loud "you suck" coming from a fan. All of the announcers stand at ringside and applaud Taker, who is still trying to get up and out of the ring. Taker heads up the ramp and holds his head high. Fans give him another big pop as his music hits.

We come back to the arena and fire starts shooting up from the stage. Dancers are dancing around with swords to the beat of drums. All of a sudden the Wyatts graphic flashes. Bray Wyatt appears on the screen and says they're here. Mark Crozer and his band start performing The Wyatt Family theme song as Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper make their way out.

The Wyatt Family hits the ring. Bray poses on his knees as John Cena's music hits to a big mixed reaction. Cena comes out to the stage and stares down at the ring. Cena salutes and runs down the ramp. The Wyatt Family just stares at him from the corner. The bell rings and here we go.

Bray drops to his knees and tells Cena to come finish him, too be the monster the people want him to be. Cena tells Bray to get up. Bray charges and Cena ducks. Cena takes Bray down with a headlock to boos. Cena with another takedown. Bray turns it around and works Cena over. Bray drops a knee and stomps away on Cena. Bray with a big forearm off the ropes. Bray whips Cena hard into the corner and he goes down. Cena comes back with a big clothesline and fans boo. Cena charges Bray and wails away on him. Cena backs off and Bray laughs. Cena goes back to beating on Bray. Rowan and Harper get on opposite sides of the ring on the apron. They back off and fans do dueling chants. Cena looks frustrated. Cena unloads on Bray in the corner some more. The referee has to pull Cena away. Cena with a big boot to the face and more right hands on Wyatt. An angrier side is coming out of Cena. Cena acts conflicted with himself. Bray comes back and drops Cena. Bray mounts him and talks trash.

Cena comes back with a dropkick. Wyatt catches him with a sleeper hold. Cena fights out and hits the shoulder tackles. Cena with the big slam. He goes for a Five Knuckle Shuffle and smiles at the crowd as they boo. Cena comes back to drop the fist but Bray is standing upside down and it freaks Cena out. Rowan distracts Cena and Bray lays him out for a 2 count. Bray gets the crowd to sing "the whole world, in his hands" just by moving his hands around. Wyatt keeps control of Cena. Cena manages to hit a big DDT out of the corner for a 2 count. Cena goes for the top rope leg drop but Wyatt catches him in a powerbomb for a 2 count. More back and forth. Cena hits the big slam and this time hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Bray blocks the Attitude Adjustment and slams Cena on his ribs for another 2 count. Bray with a big slam on the apron and another 2 count. We hear "the whole world..." starting up in the crowd again. Bray sings with them this time.

Bray takes Cena to the top for a superplex but Cena fights him off with headbutts. Wyatt hits the mat. Cena looks to leap to the mat but instead turns and splashes on Rowan and Harper out on the floor. Bray goes to the floor and takes control, sending Cena into the steel steps. Bray grabs part of the steps but Cena blocks it and unloads with right hands. Cena sends Bray into the ring post. Cena grabs part of the steps and has second thoughts and can't bring himself to hit Wyatt with them. They come back in the ring and Wyatt hits the big flying forearm for a 2 count. Bray sits down and holds Cena's head in his hands. Wyatt sings "the whole world..." and looks around. Wyatt goes for a big splash but Cena moves. Cena nails the Attitude Adjustment for a close 2 count. Rowan distracts the referee while Harper cracks Cena in the skull. Bray with a splash and another 2 count. Bray tosses Cena back out to the floor.

Cena tackles Harper and they go crashing through the timekeeper's area. Bray goes back to work on Cena and brings him in the ring. Bray turns upside down in the corner and the crowd pops. Cena blocks Sister Abigail and rolls Wyatt up and then into the STF. Fans boo. Wyatt grabs the bottom rope and breaks the hold. Wyatt hits Sister Abigail out of nowhere but Cena kicks out at 2. Wyatt looks surprised now. Wyatt goes out and takes apart the Spanish announce table. He grabs a steel chair and the referee warns him not to bring it in the ring. Bray brings it in and the referee argues. Rowan comes in to argue with the ref but he leaves. Bray tosses Cena the chair and tells him to use it. Another "the whole world" tune starts up in the crowd. The referee warns Cena. Wyatt begs Cena to hit him. Cena swings the chair but knocks Rowan off the apron. Back and forth. Cena blocks Sister Abigail and hits an Attitude Adjustment for the win.

Winner: John Cena

- After the match, Cena celebrates with fans as Rowan and Harper help Bray up the ramp. Cena goes ringside to celebrate with his friends and family. John Cena Sr. raises his hand. Cena also hugs The Rock's mom before heading to the back.

Big Show's music played and WWE revealed a host of individuals were already in the ring. Sheamus got a ring entrance, then the bell sounded. Yoshi Tatsu, who was not part of the original list, was the first elimination. Raw GM Brad Maddox was out next. Brodus Clay was eliminated by Khali and Khali was eliminated next. Zack Ryder was cut next as bodies started flying.

Darren Young was eliminated, then Mark Henry eliminated all of 3MB. Big Show then eliminated Henry. Chaos everywhere, then Titus was eliminated. Santino pulled out his Cobra and took out the cameraman instead of Miz. He adjusted and took out Miz anyways. Del Rio then eliminated Santino to re-create the Royal Rumble 2011 ending.

Cody Rhodes eliminated his former partner, Damien Sandow, then Big E. pressed Justin Gabriel clear over the top rope to the floor. Big E. eliminated David Otunga next and Cole said he can go sue somebody now. Lawler commented that this is like fireworks going all different directions. Fandango suddenly eliminated Big E., setting off "Fandango'ing" in the crowd. Fandango danced on the ring apron, which drew over Sheamus to deliver about 25 clubbing forearms to the chest. He then playfully shoved Fandango off the apron to the floor.

Big Show scooped up R-Truth and tossed him over the top rope to the floor. Cesaro, who was pulled from the battle royal in favor of the pre-show Tag Title match, emerged as a candidate to win as the sea of bodies cleared out. "I didn't even know Cesaro was in this thing," JBL observed. Del Rio then eliminated Goldust. He followed by eliminating Cody Rhodes.

Rey Mysterio got a brief spotlight, then Cesaro suddenly eliminated him with a big European Uppercut. Ziggler tried to go after Cesaro, but he took a big pop-up uppercut. Suddenly, Kofi was dumped out of the ring, but his feet landed on the ring steps, avoiding elimination in a unique manner. Kofi hit the ring and springboard off the top with a cross-body to Ziggler. Trouble in Paradise to Big Show, but Cesaro grabbed Kofi and put him in the Big Swing. JBL asked if he could Big Swing Kofi over the top rope, but Cesaro just kept going on the Big Swing.

Reset at 11:00 with Big Show grabbing Cesaro to deliver a big chokeslam, drawing boos from the crowd. Sheamus then Brogue Kicked Kofi off the ring apron to eliminate him. Ziggler followed with a snap DDT to Sheamus, then Del Rio whiffed on a superkick that eliminated Ziggler. Boos from the crowd.

The Final Four was Sheamus, Del Rio, Big Show, and Cesaro. Sheamus and Del Rio then eliminated each other battling against the ropes. It was down to Cesaro and Show, who went for a chokeslam, but Cesaro blocked. Cesaro then tried big clotheslines to eliminate Show, but Show chucked Cesaro over the top rope. Cesaro held on, then climbed to the top rope, but Show nailed him with a KO Punch to boos. Show tried to eliminate Cesaro, but Cesaro slipped out, then nailed uppercuts after uppercuts. Suddenly, Cesaro had his Hogan bodyslamming Andre moment by lifting Show into the air and bodyslamming Show over the top rope to the floor to win, popping the crowd.

Post-match: Cesaro collected himself as Show stood stunned ringside. Show then reached through the ropes with a hand and Cesaro accepted it for a handshake. Cesaro took his spotlight in the ring, then five referees brought the Andre trophy into the ring. Cesaro lifted the entire trophy into the ring, standing tall in victory.

WINNER: Cesaro at 13:25. And Cesaro's star has been made. Rough battle royal early on, but huge ending using Andre's legacy, Big Show, and Hogan hyping bodyslamming Andre over and over and over again at WM3 to make Cesaro's career.

Hunter continued to sneer at Bryan, then smirk toward the crowd as the two wrestlers felt out the crowd. Hunter then walked toward Bryan and extended his hand, but Bryan responded with a kick to the hand. A roll-up produced a two count, freaking out Hunter. Bryan followed with rapid-fire kicks in the corner, sending Hunter scampering to the floor for a breather. As Steph tried to help Hunter calm down, Bryan extended his hand in the ring. Nice opening.

Back in the ring, Hunter tried to work on Bryan's shoulder, but Bryan responded with a take-down into a side headlock. Hunter responded with a take down, but Bryan responded with uppercuts. Meanwhile, Lawler said he thinks Hunter put this match on first so that if he wins, he could rest up for the main event. Bryan went for kick strikes, but Hunter grabbed Bryan's foot and leg-wrenched him. Hunter thought he was in control again, but Bryan knocked him to the floor. Steph checked on Hunter, then Bryan came off the top turnbuckle with a flip dive aimed for Hunter, but Bryan seemed to take the worst of it.

Back in the ring, Bryan covered Hunter for a two count. "You're never going to win!" Steph shrieked from ringside. On the floor, Hunter took Bryan to the announce table and yanked Bryan shoulder-first down onto the announce table. "Yes!" Steph mockingly shouted. Back in the ring, Hunter went to work on Bryan's shoulder as the announcers said this looks like all of Bryan's hard work coming to an end. But, Bryan responded with a strike that sent Hunter to the floor. Bryan prepared for a suicide dive, but Hunter responded with a strike to the face. Hunter then smashed Bryan across the ring apron.

Bryan made it back into the ring just before ten, then Hunter applied a cross-face chicken wing. "Daniel Bryan" chant as Bryan tried to fight off the hold. Hunter then flowed into a cross-face submission, looking to avenge WM20. Bryan made it to the bottom rope, though, to get a rope break. Hunter then yanked down on Bryan's shoulder to keep working on the injury. Suddenly, Bryan fought back with strikes. Hunter responded, then Bryan knocked down Hunter with a flying attack.

Reset at 13:30. Bryan followed with a German Suplex for a nearfall. Then a second with a bridge for another two count. Bryan tried a third German, but Hunter blocked and nailed a German of his own. Both men sold the effects of the sequence, then Hunter covered for a two count. The match then moved to the top turnbuckle, where Bryan fed off "Yes!" chants to block Hunter and deliver a big sunset flip powerbomb. Both men sold on the mat.

At 16:30, Bryan got up and delivered two running knee strikes in the corner, but Hunter responded to the third attempt with a big lariat. Both men sold on the mat as Steph exclaimed, "Yeaaaah!" Hunter was slow to his feet and approached Bryan for the Pedigree, but Bryan blocked and jack-knifed Hunter for a two count. Kick strike to the head and the crowd rallied hard behind Bryan. Bryan climbed to the top for a diving headbutt, but Hunter got his leg up to block. Hunter immediately went to the cross-face submission, Bryan crawled across the ring, but Hunter rolled them over to the center of the ring. Bryan managed to escape and also reverse into a cross-face of his own, popping the crowd. Hunter flailed his arm, but Bryan locked it on tighter as Steph sold concern ringside. Hunter teased tapping, but finally reached the bottom rope for a break.

Hunter rolled to the floor for a breather, then Bryan got up and delivered a suicide dive. Then, a second suicide dive to the outside. Bryan took Hunter back into the ring and followed with a top-rope missile dropkick. Bryan kipped up like Shawn Michaels, then delivered one Yes! Kick. A second. A third. A fourth. Big wind-up for a fifth to the head. But, Hunter kicked out just before three as Steph seemed to be out of energy ringside.

Bryan wanted to end it with the big running knee, but Hunter responded with a spinebuster. Hunter flowed right into a Pedigree, but Bryan kicked out at two. The crowd popped, then erupted into "Yes!" chants as Steph sold concern that maybe she underestimated Bryan. Steph tried to give Hunter a pep talk, but Bryan caught Hunter with a roll-up for a close two count. Hunter responded by unloading on Bryan with right hand strikes. He then went for a second Pedigree, but Bryan countered with a bridge pin for a close two count. Hunter maintained the Pedigree grip, though, and Bryan blocked a second Pedigree attempt. So, Hunter drove knees to Bryan's head.

Hunter again gripped Bryan for a Pedigree, but Bryan reversed into a wind-up kick to the face. Bryan tried a big kick, but Hunter blocked. Bryan blocked a follow-up from Hunter, created separation, and smashed Hunter with a big running knee. Cover and a three count. Clean win for Bryan.

Post-match: The crowd erupted in "Yes!" chants as Bryan and Hunter recovered on the mat. Bryan stood up and celebrated by holding up one finger that he's got one more to go. Suddenly, Steph entered the ring and slapped Bryan. Bryan smiled, so Steph kept slapping him. Hunter then attacked Bryan from behind and posted him. Hunter grabbed a chair and smashed it across Bryan's shoulder, creating questions over whether Bryan can make the main event. Hunter and Steph then left the ring as Bryan was tended to by the ringside doctor.

WINNER: Bryan at 25:58. Very good WrestleMania match. The post-match attack now sets up the show-long question of whether Bryan will make the main event.

Opening Segment Of WrestleMania XXX (The Rock, Steve Austin & Hulk Hogan)

Live inside the Superdome, Hulk Hogan's music played to bring out the WrestleMania guest host. Hogan made his way down to the ring as WWE showed audience members singing and bobbing their heads to Hogan's "Real Americans" theme. On commentary, Cole claimed attendance of over 75,000. He said it's all come full-circle for Hogan.

In the ring, Hogan said he's glad to be back at the Silverdome (boos) and on WWF - WWE Network. Hogan re-directed back to saying he's glad to be in New Orleans at the Superdome. He said he's glad to back in the Silverdome a second time. The crowd tongue-in-cheek chanted, "You f----ed up." Hogan laughed, smiled, and said "Superdome" to a pop.

Hogan was suddenly interrupted by broken glass to bring out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin marched down to the ring sporting a Broken Skull Ranch t-shirt. Austin posed in all four corners, then walked right up to Hogan. Austin popped the crowd saying it's great to be back here in the Silverdome, which popped Hogan.

Austin continued by asking the crowd if they want him to open up a can of whoop ass on Hulk Hogan. He said that's what he thought, then flashed back to the Hall of Fame last night. Austin went through WM1, WM2 (what?), all the way to WM10. "You get the picture," he said. Austin said they've been very protective of their legacies during their career. He said he's got nothing but respect for Hogan and appreciates what he's done for this business.

Hogan asked the crowd to give Stone Cold a "hell yeah," then Austin said tonight is about the WWE stars coming out here and busting their asses like what he and Hogan did. Austin said tonight is for the current regime to come out here and put everything they got on the line.

Suddenly, The Rock's music played. Rock came out dressed in jeans and a cut-off t-shirt looking skinny. Rock bounced up and down on the stage, then marched down to the ring to join Hogan and Austin in the ring. Rock greeted his mom at ringside as the announcers described this as Mt. Rushmore coming together.

In the ring, Rock said it feels good to be back in New Orleans ... and the Superdome. He smiled toward Hogan, who turned his back to laugh. Rock hyped Hogan and Austin's career and referenced Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect to boos, then the Yes! Movement to cheers. Rock then rhymed about so many wrestling fans being born nine months after WrestleMania because everyone is inspired to go home and start making Rock Babies. He told everyone to just wait until January. Rock said it's boots to asses time... if you smell what The Rock is cooking.

Austin added: "And that's the bottom line 'cause Stone Cold said so." Hogan closed: "So, whatcha gonna do, brothers, when The Rock, Stone Cold, Hogan, WrestleMania, and ... the Superdome (big pop) run wild on you?" Hogan with the ultimate babyface comeback. Austin called for beers and the trio shared a round in the ring as JBL said his career is complete. Hogan's music played, then Austin's to close the segment. That was a huge opening

Elimination Match for the WWE Tag Team Titles: Cesaro & Jack Swagger vs. Los Matadores vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel vs. The Usos

We go to the ring and Zeb Colter is in the ring for a promo. He introduces The Real Americans and out comes Cesaro and Jack Swagger. Michael Cole welcomes us to the Superdome. He's joined by JBL and Jerry Lawler. Ryback and Curtis Axel are out next. Los Matadores are out next with El Torito. WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos are out next with their big entrance.

Axel starts off with Jey Uso. They lock up and trade holds. Uso takes Axel down and a "we the people" chant starts up. Uso and Axel trade chops. Cesaro avoids a tag from Axel. Axel with a big dropkick on Uso. Ryback tags in and bullies Uso around. Uso fires back but catches a big boot. Ryback readies for a Meathook clothesline but Diego tags himself in and steals a 2 count. Uso goes at it with Diego now. Jimmy Uso tags in for some double teaming. Uso and Diego trade holds. Fernando tags in for some double teaming. 2 count on Uso. Cesaro tags himself in and hits Fernando with uppercuts. Swagger tags in for a big double team in the corner. Swagger levels Fernando for a 2 count. Another "we the people" chant starts up. Fernando with a springboard back elbow and some moves off the ropes. Swagger catches him in mid-air but they both tumble out to the floor. Cesaro gets sent to the floor. Uso sends Ryback to the floor. Fernando dropkicks Uso to the floor. Los Matadores leap out from the top onto everyone else on the floor. El Torito hits the ring and starts jumping on the ropes. He goes up but Axel throws him to the mat. Axel climbs to the top but Matadores stop him. Torito ends up knocking Axel and Matadores out onto everyone else on the floor. All teams are down at ringside. Swagger and one of the Matadores come back in. Swagger hits a superplex into a Patriot Lock and Los Matadores are eliminated.
Uso goes at it with Swagger. Uso blocks a Patriot Lock. They go at it until Axel cuts them off. Ryback comes back in and lifts Uso for a long vertical suplex. Ryback with a 2 count. Ryback with a slam. He comes off the top with a splash. Axel tags in and also hits a splash on Uso for a 2 count. More tags by Ryback and Axel as they keep Uso in their corner. Ryback ends up on the floor and Axel comes in. Uso fights back. Swagger comes in and has a Swagger Bomb blocked by Uso. Ryback comes in with spinebusters. He calls for the clothesline on Swagger and nails it. Ryback goes for Shellshocked on Swagger but Cesaro tags in and makes the save. Ryback sends Swagger to the floor and drop Cesaro. Cesaro nails a huge uppercut on Ryback out of nowhere. Cesaro with the Neutralizer on Ryback for the elimination. Ryback and Axel are eliminated.

Both teams face off in the ring. We get a big "we the people" and they go at it. They end up on the floor and the Usos leap out with splashes. Cesaro ends up in the ring with Jimmy and has a Neutralizer blocked by a jackknife pin. They trade holds and Cesaro goes for the Cesaro Swing but Uso blocks it. Cesaro hits the other Uso with a big uppercut and brings him in. Swagger tags in but they miss a double team move. Uso leaps off the top and takes them both off for a 2 count on Swagger. Swagger blocks the splash in the corner and applies the Patriot Lock. They struggle but Swagger gets it locked in. Cesaro runs in and blocks the other Uso. Cesaro hits a big uppercut. The other Uso with a Samoan Drop on Cesaro. Fans chant "this is awesome" as Cesaro waits for a tag. Both teams tag in. Cesaro runs into Swagger after a throw from Uso and knocks Swagger off the apron. Usos hit a double team move on Cesaro. They go to separate corners and splash Cesaro at the same time for the win.

The Kickoff Show opens with Josh Mathews welcoming us to a “frigid” Minneapolis, Minnesota. We see a shot of fans filing into the arena and then the camera swings from inside the arena over to the Kickoff Show expert panel. The panel for tonight’s event consists of Mark Henry, The Miz and Rey Mysterio. Miz jokes about the new Kickoff Show set being a nice wedding gift.
All three guys talk about which matches excite them most on tonight’s card. A small “Sexual Chocolate” chant breaks out as Henry runs down his thoughts on some of the matches on tonight’s card. The guys also talk about the tag-team division and how strong it is. Henry stumbles over his words pretty badly when running down his thoughts.
We shoot over to the social media lounge, where Renee Young informs us how to interact via Twitter, etc. She reads some tweets from the “WWE Universe.” She mentions that we should use the hashtag “#WWEChamber” to chat about the show on Twitter.
Now we’re back to the expert panel where Josh Mathews runs down the rules of the actual Elimination Chamber match itself. He then introduces some video packages highlighting the story lines surrounding Randy Orton and his WWE World Heavyweight Championship leading into the Chamber matchup tonight.
The gang talks about how dangerous the Elimination Chamber match is. Once again, Henry is having an awful time trying to put coherent sentences together. The guys talk about who they feel the favorites are in tonight’s Chamber match.
We shoot backstage and Zeb Colter is giving The Real Americans a pep-talk. He tells them that tomorrow night they’ll be able to say the Cesaro is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and that Jack Swagger is the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. He finishes with the usual hand-over-your-heart speech.
After that segment concludes, JBL’s theme music hits and he makes his way out to the commentary table. The fans in Minneapolis give JBL a nice reception. As JBL makes his way to the announce booth, we see some video highlights detailing the history of the Batista and Alberto Del Rio feud.
Another light “Sexual Chocolate” chant breaks out as the Batista-Del Rio video wraps up. Out next is Jerry Lawler. “The King” makes his way to the commentary table to a great reaction and a smattering of “Jerry, Jerry” chants. As he makes his way to ringside, a WWE Network video package airs.
Once the WWE Network video finishes up, we shoot back live into the arena. At the commentary table at ringside, Michael Cole talks about how historic tomorrow night is with the official launch of the WWE Network. JBL and Jerry Lawler talk about how great a deal it is to purchase a WWE Network subscription. We get a closeup shot of Lawler on his iPad pointing out how easy it is to navigate through the WWE Network. He plays a clip of an old SummerSlam pay-per-view.
Goldust & Cody Rhodes vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel (with Larry “The Axe” Hennig)
Now that the WWE Network plugging is done, it’s time for our Kickoff Show match of the evening. Goldust’s theme music hits and out he comes with Cody Rhodes. They make their way to the ring as we get ready for the first match of the evening. After Goldust and Rhodes finish their entrance, Ryback’s music hits and out he comes with Curtis Axel and Axel’s grandfather, Larry “The Axe” Hennig, who is from the Minneapolis area. Hennig gets a nice pop and a decent “Larry, Larry” chant from the Minneapolis fans.
The bell sounds and our first match is officially underway. The action is insanely fast-paced early on. Goldust ends up hitting a crazy dive out to the floor on Ryback and Axel. On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial.
When we return from commercial, Ryback is pounding away on Goldust in the corner of the ring. Ryback stomps away at Goldust on the mat a bit and then tags Axel in. Axel picks up where Ryback left off. We see a shot of Larry Hennig watching on from outside the ring. Hennig has a big smile on his face as his grandson Curtis Axel continues to work over Goldust.
Axel tags Ryback back into the ring. The two hit a double-team move on Goldust in their corner and then Axel heads back out to the apron. Ryback hoists Goldust up for a suplex and holds him up in the air for several seconds before slamming him down to the mat. He tags Axel back in. Goldust starts fighting back now as the crowd rallies behind him. Both guys double-clothesline each other down. Axel is able to get to his feet first and he makes the tag to Ryback.
Ryback beats up Goldust a bit, but Goldust still has some fire left in him. He hits a huricanrana on Ryback and then sends Ryback over-the-top and out to the floor. Both guys make the tag to their respective partners. Rhodes takes the hot tag and is flying all over the place, beating Axel from one side of the ring to the other. Rhodes hits a big moonsault off-the-top on Axel. Rhodes hits an Alabama Slam on Axel. Ryback yanks Rhodes out to the floor but Rhodes hits his disaster kick.
Rhodes jumps off the top-rope to come back into the ring. He was looking to connect on Axel with a missile dropkick but Axel caught him coming in and powerbombs him. All four guys get involved briefly, ending with Rhodes hitting the Cross Rhodes for the 1-2-3. The Rhodes Brothers get the win.

Byron Saxton Interviews The Usos
Backstage, Byron Saxton introduces The Usos. The Usos talk about how their relatives have held the same exact WWE Tag-Team Championships that they are going to compete for tonight. They talk about how they respect The New Age Outlaws and everything they’ve accomplished, but tonight is a new era. They say they have two words for them, “it’s over.”

We shoot back to the expert panel where Josh Mathews asks the guys for their predictions on tonight’s Elimination Chamber match. Henry, Miz and Mysterio talk about some of the guys they think has the chance to win tonight before Mathews wraps up the Kickoff Show. We fade away and we’re now just moments away from the start of the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view!
WWE Elimination Chamber 2014
The usual kick-ass video package airs to kick-off the pay-per-view portion of tonight’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2014 event, which emanates live from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The focus of the video package is strongly centered around the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and Randy Orton, as well as “the face of WWE” stuff involving The Authority, and then the actual Elimination Chamber itself.
The video package wraps up and the pyro explodes. Michael Cole welcomes us to the final pay-per-view stop on the road to WrestleMania XXX. He talks about the building in Minneapolis being sold out for tonight’s show where we will determine the main event for WrestleMania. The bell rings and it’s time to get right to the action.
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Big E. (c) vs. Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter)
Lilian Garcia announces that our opening contest is one fall and is for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The Real Americans’ theme music hits and out comes Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter. Colter asks for the music to be cut off. He talks about the “E” in “Big E.” standing for “enough.” He runs down Big E. some more as they make their way down the aisle and to the ring. He finishes with his “we the people” tag-line as we get a glimpse of the commentary team. Cole, JBL and Lawler talk about how ridiculous Colter’s comments were as Big E.’s theme music hits. The WWE Intercontinental Champion makes his way to the ring as we are quickly introduced to the Spanish announce team for tonight.
We see Colter giving some final advice to Swagger before the bell rings. The bell sounds now and our first PPV match of the evening is officially underway. Big E. muscles Swagger into the corner. The two break. He does it again and this time Swagger blasts Big E. in the mid-section with a big knee. Both guys hit the ropes and Big E. blasts Swagger with a big shoulder tackle. Swagger rolls out to the floor to recover. Colter tells Swagger to “do what we talked about.”
Swagger rolls back into the ring and starts firing away at Big E. with punches. Big E. reverses Swagger and hits him with a huge belly-to-belly suplex. And another. Big E. whips Swagger into the corner and once again Swagger rolls out to the floor. This time, however, BIg E. follows him out. Big E. bounces Swagger’s head into the steel steps. Colter gets in Big E.’s face to distract him. The distraction almost works, but ultimately doesn’t as Big E. reversed Swagger’s cheap-shot attempt and threw him into the steps.
Back in the ring. Swagger eventually starts to mount some offense. Swagger yanks Big E. off the apron and Big E. crashes shoulder-first onto the ground. Back in the ring, Swagger continues to work over Big E. Big E. tries to make a comeback, but when he comes off the ropes, Swagger blasts him with a big boot to the face. Swagger appears to be firmly in control of the I-C champ at this point.
Both guys knock each other down and the referee begins his double-count. Swagger makes it back to his feet, as does Big E. Big E. charges after Swagger but Swagger moves and Big E. goes shoulder-first through the turnbuckle and smashes into the ring post. Swagger puts the boots to Big E. as a loud “we the people” chant breaks out. It gains momentum and now everyone in the building seems to be chanting it.
Big E. starts fighting back with a couple of kicks. He follows those up with a few big clotheslines. Big E. seems to be gaining momentum until Swagger catches Big E. coming off the ropes with a big spinebuster.
Swagger works over Big E. for a couple of seconds, but out of nowhere, Big E. spears Swagger through the ropes and the momentum was so great that both guys went out to the floor. Back in the ring, Big E. hits a big splash on Swagger for a near fall.
Big E. goes to the top rope. Swagger cuts him off. Big E. knocks Swagger off. Swagger runs up and in one motion hits a belly-to-belly suplex off the top, ala Kurt Angle. Swagger nails Big E. with a big boot. Swagger locks BIg E. in the Patriot Lock submission hold. Big E. tries to escape but Swagger keeps it on. Finally, Big E. powers out of the hold. With both guys back on their feet, Big E. runs through Swagger. Big E. pulls the straps down, calling for the Big Ending. Before he can do anything, Swagger grabs his leg from the ground and re-applies the Patriot Lock. Big E. eventually escapes again and immediately counters and hits Swagger with his Big Ending finisher. 1-2-3. Big E. wins and retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

After The Match: Bad News Barrett
After the match ends, we see some highlights of what was actually a pretty good little match. As Big E. celebrates in the ring, Bad News Barrett pops up on hs podium. He tells us that he’s afraid he’s got some bad news for “us Americans.” He talks about how Russia has won more gold medals than us in the Olympic games. He says we’re going to have to wait for four years to do anything about it. He says Europe proves once again that they have superiority over Americans in sports.
Hulk Hogan Return Hype
A quick video package airs promoting Hulk Hogan’s return to WWE on tomorrow night’s RAW. A lot of the media attention his return announcement generated is shown, ending with a plug for his return on RAW.
Byron Saxton Interviews Daniel Bryan
Backstage, Byron Saxton is with Daniel Bryan. Bryan’s shoulder is heavily taped up, as we saw clips from RAW and SmackDown of Kane injuring Bryan’s shoulder were just shown. Saxton asks Bryan about tonight’s match. Bryan asks a series of questions, all of which end with the answer “Yes!” The fans in the arena are popping and chanting “Yes!” with him. He finishes by leading them in a “Yes!” chant.
WWE Tag-Team Championships
The New Age Outlaws (c) vs. The Usos
“Oh you didn’t know?” Road Dogg and Billy Gunn make their way to the ring. Road Dogg does his usual thing on the mic. It’s almost time for tonight’s WWE Tag-Team Championship match. After Road Dogg finishes up his usual stuff, The Usos music hits and they make their way to the ring. The bell sounds and our second PPV match of the evening is officially underway.
Billy Gunn starts things off with Jimmy Uso. Gunn is getting the better of Jimmy early on. Gunn continues to get the better of Jimmy as the fans try and rally behind The Usos with “Us-O” chants. Jimmy starts using his speed and it helps him get the upper-hand on Gunn. The Usos both end up in the ring with Gunn and Road Dogg out on the floor. The Usos run to do their usual dive, but Road Dogg and Gunn cleverly get out of the way.
Road Dogg is the legal man for the New Age Outlaws now and Jey Uso immediately starts working him over. Uso mocks Road Dogg’s juke-and-jive type punch-spot. Road Dogg ends up taking out the leg of Jey and now The Outlaws are back in control of the offensive flow of the contest. Road Dogg messes with Jimmy on the apron and then mocks them with a strut. Road Dogg throws Jey out to the floor and Gunn beats him up some outside of the ring.
Road Dogg tags Gunn back into the match. Road Dogg yells “that’s old school, punk!” He screwed up with that one, because as soon as the Minneapolis fans heard the word “punk” they immediately broke out into a defeaning “CM Punk, CM Punk” chant. Meanwhile, Road Dogg is back in the ring as the legal man now and has Uso on the mat in a headlock. Gunn tags back in, but Uso makes the tag to Jimmy.
Jimmy Uso takes the hot tag and is now hitting anything that moves. Road Dogg and Gunn join up outside the ring to regain their composure. Jimmy flies over the top and hits a big splash on The Outlaws on the floor. Back in the ring, Uso and Gunn are the legal men. After some interference, Gunn is able to roll Uso up out of nowhere for the pinfall. 1-2-3. The New Age Outlaws retain the gold.

After The Match: Bad News Barrett Part 2
After the match, Bad News Barrett pops up again. His podium doesn’t raise this time, however, leading Barrett to point out that he’s down at our level to deliver some bad news to Daniel Bryan fans. He says that Bryan won’t be winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tonight, and because the fans are fickle fans they’ll turn on him and start chanting “No! No! No!” again. They boo him and that’s pretty much it for that segment.
WWE Network Tutorial
The announce team run down another WWE Network tutorial. They have Lawler again demonstrate via his iPad how easy the WWE Network is to navigate. As they’re running down the plug, the fans in Minneapolis break out into another “CM Punk, CM Punk” chant.

Darren Young vs. Titus O’Neil
After the Network tutorial is done, Darren Young’s theme music hits. He comes out to pretty much no reaction as video highlights are shown breaking down the history of the Darren Young and Titus O’Neil feud. After the video is finished playing, Titus O’Neil’s theme music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. The ref has to hold Young back inside the ring as O’Neil makes his entrance, as Young is ready to get at him.
The bell sounds and the two aggressively lock up. The guys struggle in a lock up, pushing and pulling each other all over the ring. The ref breaks them up, but during the break up, O’Neil hits Young with a cheap shot. A loud “we want Lesnar” chant breaks out as O’Neil continues to use his superior power to manhandle Young.
Young catches O’Neil with a big right hand out of nowhere, and then follows it up with a dropkick to the legs of O’Neil. Young knocks O’Neil out to the floor and follows him out to continue the beatdown on the floor. Back in the ring, Young comes off the top-rope and nails O’Neil with a flying clothesline for a near fall. O’Neil ends up launching Young out of nowhere over the top rope.
O’Neil follows Young out to the floor. He picks him up in a body slam position and smashes him back-first into the ring post a few times. He rolls Young back in the ring and tries to pin him, but Young manages to kick out at two. O’Neil slaps on a bear-hug to Young and is squeezing away at the back he just worked on outside the ring. Young breaks free and climbs to the middle rope. He comes off looking for a cross-body splash, but O’Neil catches him and slams him down.
O’Neil puts Young in an abdominal stretch. Young tries fighting his way out of it. O’Neil slams Young back-first into the turnbuckle. A light “we want Ziggler” chant breaks out as both guys knock each other down to the mat. Young is firing up on offense for a comeback, but the crowd is absolutely flat for it. They seem like they couldn’t care less about Young for most of this match.
Regardles of the crowd being hot for Young’s little comeback attempt or not, O’Neil cuts it short. O’Neil simply blasts Young with his Clash Of The Titus finisher. 1-2-3. That’s all she wrote. Titus O’Neil wins.

After The Match: Bad News Barrett Part 3
Bad News Barrett pops up after the match. He taps on his little podium and tells us that he’s afraid he’s got some bad news. He said it was announced on Friday that “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan will be returning to WWE and will be hosting WrestleMania XXX. Barrett says his limelight will be dim compared to the charisma and ability of Bad News Barrett. He thanks us very much.
Checking In With The Expert Panel
After the third Bad News Barrett segment of the evening, we shoot back to the Elimination Chamber expert panel. Mathews introduces each guy individually. They all talk about some of the matches on tonight’s card. Mathews wraps up by introducing a video package highlighting the history of The Wyatt Family and Shield feud. That six-man tag-team match is up next.
The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family
After the video package, The Shield make their way to the ring through the crowd as usual. Out next is The Wyatt Family. When the lights come back on and The Wyatt’s are at ringside, the fans immediately break out in a loud “this is awesome” chant before anything even happens. This does feel big, by the way. The Wyatt Family finally enter the ring, where The Shield are standing. All six guys stand across from each other. A loud “let’s go Wyatt” and “let’s go Shield” dueling chant breaks out. The Shield and The Wyatt Family all clash and the crowd erupts. The Wyatt Family duck out the back door and The Shield stand tall in the ring.
As The Wyatt Family stands outside the ring, another incredibly loud “let’s go Wyatt’s” and “let’s go Shield” dueling chant breaks out. Finally the bell rings and Seth Rollins and Erick Rowan start things off. Rollins gets Rowan in The Shield corner and tags in Roman Reigns.Reigns stomps away at Rowan a bit and tags Rollins back in. Rowan ends up rag-dolling Rollins across the ring. He tags Luke Harper in.
Luke Harper manhandles Rollins a bit and now he has him in The Wyatt Family corner. Harper tags Bray Wyatt in. Wyatt enters the ring and stomps away at Rollins. Rollins makes it to his corner and tags in Roman Reigns. The crowd explodes as they realize we’re about to see Reigns and Wyatt clash in the ring. Reigns slowly approaches Wyatt as Wyatt has a big ass smile on his face. Reigns bullies Wyatt into the corner and starts firing away with punches. Wyatt blasts Reigns back with a big shot of his own. Reigns knocks Wyatt down. Wyatt gets back up and goes back to work on Reigns. Wyatt knocks Reigns down and tags Harper back into the match.
Harper grabs Reigns and goes for a suplex. He tries three times to get him up, but Reigns blocks it each time. Reigns counters and nails Harper with a suplex of his own. Reigns tags Dean Ambrose in. Ambrose fires away at Harper with punches in The Shield corner of the ring. Ambrose tags in Rollins. All three members hit a big sopt together. Reigns tags in and beats up Harper for just a second or two before tagging Ambrose back in.
Ambrose blasts Harper with a big clothesline for a near fall. Ambrose tags Rollins back in. Rollins headbutts Harper in the mid-section and quickly tags back out. Ambrose takes the tag and he picks up where Rollins left off with Harper. The Shield are utilizing quick tags to keep a fresh guy on a beaten down Harper. Out of nowhere, Harper throws a huge dropkick and floors Ambrose. Harper tags Wyatt back in.
Wyatt comes in and goes right to work on Ambrose with punches in the corner. Wyatt beats up Ambrose for a few more seconds and then tags in Rowan. Rowan picks up where Wyatt left off with Ambrose. The Wyatt Family seems to be doing the same thing with Ambrose that The Shield did with Harper a few minutes ago. An insanely loud “let’s go Wyatt’s” and “let’s go Shield” dueling chant breaks out again. The crowd is really, really hot for this big six-man tag-team match. Meanwhile, The Wyatt Family continues to utilize quick-tags to keep fresh guys on a beaten up Ambrose. Harper nails Ambrose with a big suplex for a near fall.
Ambrose is finally able to make a tag to Rollins. Rollins comes in and uses his speed to fly all over the place on Harper. Rollins goes to the top-rope. Rowan tries to knock Rollins off but Rollins hits him with a kick from the top rope. The distraction was enough for Harper to go up after Rollins. Both guys are on the top rope now. Harper goes for a belly-to-back suplex off the top but Rollins flips through and lands on his feet. Awesome. Rollins flies out to the floor on one of The Wyatt Family guys. I didn’t catch who. The crowd breaks out into a loud “this is awesome” chant.
Out on the floor, Rollins is down with Bray Wyatt stalking him. Bray runs, jumps and lands with his own back on Rollins’ body. Wyatt rolls Rollins back in the ring and tries to pin him, but Rollins manages to kick out at two. Another loud “let’s go Wyatt’s” and “let’s go Shield” chant breaks out. The crowd atmosphere in the Target Center in Minneapolis for this six-man tag-team match is off-the-charts awesome. Rowan is the legal man in the ring now and he continues to deliver the punishment to Rollins. Rowan tags Harper back in and the two doule-team Rollins before Rowan heads back to the apron.
Harper hits Rollins with a hard slap across the face. Harper blasts Rollins with some European uppercuts in the corner. He runs and blasts Rollins with a clothesline in the corner. Wyatt yells at Harper to tag him in. Harper does. Wyatt drops a big headbutt on Rollins on the mat. We see a closeup shot of Roman Reigns intensely looking on as Rollins tries fighting back with punches. Bray gets Rollins in the Wyatt Family corner and pummels him some more. He whips him into the opposite corner. Rollins hops up to the middle rope. When he comes off, however, Bray catches him by the throat and slams him down to the mat with a big chokeslam.
Bray drags Rollins lifeless body into The Wyatt Family corner and tags in Harper. Harper stomps away at Rollins and then goes over to taunt Reigns. A loud “this is awesome” chant breaks out. Rollins hops up out of the blue and nails Harper with a big spinning kick. Rollins used that opportunity to make the tag. He tags in Roman Reigns and the crowd explodes. Reigns takes the hot tag and is clearing house of all of The Wyatt Family members. Reigns hits a big move on Harper for a near fall but Bray runs in to break up the pin attempt. Ambrose runs in and knocks Bray down for interfering. Harper does a big dive out to the floor. Rollins follows up with a jumping flip dive out to the floor of his own.
Back in the ring, Reigns and Rowan are having a knockdown, drag-out fight. We see some replays of all the dives that just happened. Rollins clears off the Spanish announce table. Bray nails Rollins from behind. Some of the guys are fighting in the crowd, some are fighting on the floor and Reigns and Rowan are still in the ring trading haymakers. Rowan throws Reigns shoulder-first into the ring post from inside the ring. Rowan hits the ropes but Reigns catches him coming off the ropes with a flying clothesline. We see Harper and Rollins fighting near the Spanish announce table. Bray comes over to double-team Rollins with Harper. Now the guys are clearing off the U.S. announce table as well.
Back in the ring, we see Reigns and Rowan still duking it out. Rowan hits Reigns with a fall-away slam that sends Reigns out to the floor. Now we’re looking at Harper and Rowan standing on top of the U.S. announce table with Rollins. They double-chokeslam him all the way over to — and through — the Spanish announce table. Cue the “holy sh*t” chants.
We see Reigns crawling in the ring by himself. Rowan enters the ring. Bray hops up on the apron. Harper does as well. Reigns is by himself with all three members of The Wyatt Family approaching him. Reigns runs at Bray and knocks him down but Harper and Rowan jump on him from behind. Rowan throws Reigns into Harper, where Harper greets him with a big boot. The three-on-one attack on Reigns continues. Bray does his leaning backwards scream in the corner. Bray goes for Sister Abigail on Reigns, but Reigns uses pure strength to slowly peel the arms of Bray off of him. Reigns blasts Bray with a Samoan Drop. Reigns nails The Wyatt Family guys with Superman punches. He’s taking all three guys out by himself now.
Reigns sets Bray up for the spear. Harper runs in and Reigns nails him with the spear. This allows Bray to run over and blast Reigns. Bray picks Reigns up and hits him with his Sister Abigail finisher. 1-2-3. The Wyatt Family wins.

Renee Young Interviews Christian
Backstage, Renee Young catches up with Christian. She points out that he was the only person who didn’t beat Randy Orton in singles matches on RAW and/or SmackDown leading into tonight’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Christian says none of that matters because no one will remember those matches when he wins the Elimination Chamber tonight and becomes the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He dares everyone to underestimate him.
WWE Divas Championship
AJ Lee (c) vs. Cameron
AJ Lee’s music hits and out she comes with Tamina Snuka. She gets on the mic and talks abuot how she’s been our Divas Champion for 252 days. She said she’s the longest-reigning Divas Champion in history. She tells us it’s okay to cheer. She says she doesn’t know who her opponent is tonight, but it doesn’t matter because she’s going to win. She mocks Naomi for getting her face broken. The Funkadactyls music hits to cut her off. Cameron makes her way to the ring as Michael Cole explains the situation with Naomi, which AJ was referring to a few seconds ago.
The bell sounds and our WWE Divas Championship match is officially underway. The announcers talk about how Cameron has improved in the ring over the past several months. They promote the return of Total Divas on E! next month. Meanwhile, Cameron is getting the better of AJ Lee early on. The announcers continue to put over The Wyatt Family vs. Shield match that just ended as AJ Lee starts to fight back. The WWE Divas Champion is in control of this one now as the announcers continue to talk about The Wyatt Family and The Shield.
AJ Lee skips around and the fans pop. Cameron rolls AJ up out of nowhere but AJ manages to kick out at two and a half. Cameron nails AJ with a dropkick while AJ was on her knees. Cameron hits AJ with a Lou Thesz-press and screaches as she punches away at AJ. The fight spills out to the floor as a loud “CM Punk” chant breaks out and quickly dies down. AJ grabs Cameron’s pom-poms and dances around. Tamina goes to blast Cameron with a big kick, but Cameron moves and she accidentally hits AJ instead.
Cameron rolls AJ into the ring and tries to capitalize by pinning her. Tamina runs over and breaks up the pin attempt. Tamina pulls Cameron out of the ring and beats her up. The referee calls for the bell. Lilian Garcia announces Cameron the winner by disqualification. After a long pause, she continues, “however, but still WWE Divas Champion, AJ Lee!” AJ’s music hits and she and Tamina leave together while AJ holds her face selling the kick that Tamina accidentally blasted her with.

After The Match: Bad News Barrett Part 4
Bad News Barrett comes out again. He addresses the fact that his podium isn’t raising anymore. He says that gives him more time to deliver some bad news. He talks about the WWE Network. He says there will be so much great content that people won’t be able to turn it off. Because of that, adults will lose their jobs and kids will get kicked out of school. He talks a little more trash and that ends another Bad News Barrett segment, our fourth of the evening.
Backstage Segment: Santino, Emma, Los Matadores & El Torito and The Great Khali
Backstage, Santino Marella is playing with some WWE toys. Emma walks up. She asks if he’s playing with toys. He tries denying it. The Great Khali, Los Matadores and El Torito walk up. They all babble with one another about the toys. Long story short, they all start playing with the toys.
Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio
After the goofy backstage segment with the toys ends, we hear Batista’s theme music. “The Animal” makes his way to the ring. During his entrance, we see video highlights chronicling the history of the Batista and Alberto Del Rio feud. JBL gets his first “Mexico’s greatest export” reference out of the way during the video package. The video ends and we see Batista in the ring waiting for his opponent. Alberto Del Rio’s music hits and he makes his way out with a neck brace and crutches, in his street clothes.
As Del Rio limps his way to the ring with crutches, JBL gets his second “Mexico’s greatest export” line out of the way. Del Rio gets on the mic and talks about how Batista attacked him two weeks ago. He said because of that, he is not going to be able to compete tonight. Del Rio then drops the mic and cheap shots Batista with the crutch. He tears his street clothes off to reveal that he was wearing his ring gear all along. He continues to beat down Batista with the crutch. He takes the neck brace off as JBL drops his third “Mexico’s greatest export” references.
The fans chant for Del Rio attacking Batista and then break out into a “Si! Si! Si!” chant, the Spanish version of “Yes! Yes! Yes!” The ref calls for the bell and Batista goes after Del Rio. The crowd boo’s the hell out of Batista. Everytime Batista hits Del Rio, the crowd boo’s. Everytime Del Rio hits Batista, they cheer. The fans start chanting “Boo-Tista” over and over again. The announcers acknowledge the crowd reaction. Meanwhile, JBL drops his fourth “Mexico’s greatest export” reference. The crowd passionately chants “Daniel Bryan” again. Now they break out to an even louder “CM Punk” Chant. I think they’re making it pretty clear that they want no part of Batista in the WrestleMania main event.
The match continues, but the crowd is ignoring almost everything that they’re doing. They’re boo’ing Batista with a red-hot passion and chanting for random people. So far they’ve chanted “Boo-Tista” and chanted for guys such as Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam and Brock Lesnar.
Batista is finally starting to mount a bit of an offensive comeback. Anytime he does anything remotely resembling offense, the crowd boo’s the living crap out of him. At the same time, they are cheering for anything Del Rio does just to further show how much they hate Batista. They break out into another “Si! Si! Si!” chant as Del Rio goes to the top. Del Rio misses a big splash. Batista fires up and the crowd boo’s him insanely loud for it. Batista goes for the Batista Bomb and the crowd erupts with boo’s. Del Rio slides out the back door and avoids it, to which the crowd popped for enormously.
Del Rio winds up for the super kick, leading the fans in a “Si! Si! Si!” chant, but Batista avoids it. The crowd boo’s. Batista immediately counters into a Batista Bomb. The crowd boo’s. He hits it. The crowd boo’s. He pins Del Rio. 1-2-3. Batista wins. The crowd boo’s.

Elimination Chamber Match
John Cena vs. Christian vs. Randy Orton (c) vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro vs. Sheamus
John Cena comes out to his usual mixed-bag reaction from the fans. Out next is Christian. Then the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton makes his way out to the ring. Each guy enters their chamber, by the way, as soon as they get in the ring. Out next is Daniel Bryan. The next two men, who will be starting the match off, are Cesaro and Sheamus (who come out in that order).
The referee holds both the WWE Titles up to show everyone what they are fighting for. Sheamus and Cesaro are the first two to start off the Elimination Chamber match. Cesaro gets Sheamus down early and starts stomping away at him. Shemus rolls out of the ring and onto the metal flooring. Cesaro goes out after him, but Sheamus ends up clotheslining Cesaro back in the ring. Sheamus blasts Cesaro with a big European uppercut. The fans break out in a random “we the people” chant. Cesaro comes off the ropes and Sheamus catches him with a big shoulder tackle. Sheamus goes for a pin, but Cesaro kicks out at two.
Sheamus goes for his arm-pound spot with Cesaro draped across the ropes, but Cesaro starts headbutting him backwards. Sheamus regains his composure, however, and ends up pounding away at the chest of Cesaro anyway. Sheamus goes to suplex Cesaro back into the ring but Cesaro blocks it. They end up outside the ring and Cesaro rams Sheamus shoulder-first into the ring post. Cesaro takes Sheamus where he wants him and takes a moment to taunt Orton. Cesaro gets Sheamus into the corner of the ring in front of Cena’s chamber. Cesaro again takes a moment, this time to taunt Cena. A light “Ce-sar-o” chant breaks out as he continues to pummel Sheamus in the corner of the ring. The countdown clock hits and here we go. The first person to exit their chamber and join the match is Daniel Bryan. The crowd explodes and immediately breaks out into “Yes!” chants.
Bryan, who don’t forget, has his shoulder heavily taped up to sell the attacks from this past week, is a ball of energy. He’s flying all over the place, beating up both Cesaro and Sheamus. Both guys are on their knees and Bryan is taking turns blasting both guys with “Yes!” kicks. A loud “Daniel Bryan” chant breaks out as Bryan continues to control the action. Bryan hits Cesaro repeatedly with European uppercuts as the fans again begin to chant for Daniel Bryan. Cesaro finally slows Bryan down and now his crazy, early-match-entry energy seems to have died down. A light “we want Lesnar” chant breaks out from his hometown fans in Minneapolis as Cesaro throws Bryan through one of the pods. The announcers point out that he went through it shoulder-first, noting that the shoulder that went through the pod was the heavily taped up, injured one.
Meanwhile, Sheamus nails Cesaro with a big DDT on the steel floor. Bryan is still down selling the spot that saw him crash through the pod. Bryan is now in the ring and Sheamus is stomping away at him. A loud “let’s go Cena” and “Cena sucks” dueling chant breaks out. The countdown clock strikes again. Entering the match this time is Christian.
Christian comes in and immediately takes advantage of a grounded Bryan, stomping away at the shoulder that he helped injure at last Monday’s RAW. Christian tears some of the bandages off of Bryan’s arm and continues to focus his attack on the beat-up shoulder of D-Bry. Sheamus and Cesaro are still down and out on the outside of the ring as Christian beats up Bryan’s shoulder some more. Sheamus finally re-enters the picture and goes after Christian.
Outside of the ring, Christian goes for the Killswitch on Cesaro. Cesaro reverses and hits a running-powerbomb on Christian, slamming him back-first through one of the pods. Cesaro tries pinning Christian off of that spot, however Christian manages to kick out at two. Cesaro puts some of the plexiglass from the pod on Sheamus and then runs and smashes himself into it. Cesaro hits Sheamus with a big sidewalk-slam type of move on the steel floor.
The countdown clock strikes again. Entering the match this time is John Cena. As soon as Cena comes out of his pod, Christian comes flying off the top and tries to splash him. Cena catches him and uses Christian as a battering ram, beating Cesaro with Christian’s body. He throws Christian at Cesaro and they both go tumbling down. Bryan is back up and is firing up on offense, however Christian ends up catching him with the Killswitch. He tries pinning Bryan to eliminate him, however D-Bry kicks out at two.
Meanwhile, Cena re-enters the picture. He slams Christian down and calls for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Sheamus stops him from behind and hits him with his White Noise move. Sheamus tries pinning Cena, but Cena manages to kick out before the three-count. A “let’s go Cena” and “Cena sucks” dueling chant breaks out. All of the guys are battling all over the place now, as there are bodies flying everywhere.
Cesaro catches Cena with his trademark flying-European uppercut move. Not sure what to call it, but it’s the spot where he launches Cena up in the air and catches him coming down with a big European uppercut. Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment on Cesaro but Bryan stops him by blasting him with repated “Yes!” kicks. All of the guys are down now.
The countdown clock strikes again. The buzzer sounds and now the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton officially enters the match. Orton goes after all of the guys. The crowd starts chanting “boring” immediately after Orton got out of his pod. Orton keeps knocking everyone down. He acknowledges the “boring” chants and does his pose to taunt the fans. Orton sets Bryan up for his punt. Everyone ends up getting up at once. They all stop and look at Orton. Orton runs and locks himself back in his pod. Sheamus can’t get to Orton now and he’s pissed. Orton taunts him from inside the pod. The entire arena starts chanting “Pussy! Pussy!” at Orton. Sheamus turns and finally stops and realizes what everyone is already expecting. He hits the Brogue Kick into the pod and smashes it open. He grabs Orton and starts beating him up.
Back in the ring, Cena goes for the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Bryan. Cesaro stops him. Orton ends up in the picture. Cesaro grabs Orton and starts doing the Cesaro Swing to him. He swung him a ton of times. According to Michael Cole it was 30 rotations. Bryan grabs Cesaro as soon as he finished the swinging, and dumped him on his neck with a big German suplex.
Sheamus is now in the center of the ring, pounding his chest and calling for the Brogue Kick. Christian ducks and Sheamus blasts Cena with the Brogue Kick. Christian tries rolling Sheamus up for a pin after that, but Sheamus manages to kick out at two. Christian and Sheamus battle up to the top of one of the pods. Orton goes up after him. Orton nails Sheamus with a big slam off of the pod. Christian leaps and comes flying off the pod and splashes onto Sheamus. He pins him. 1-2-3. Christian has eliminated Sheamus.
A light “this is awesome” chant breaks out. The doctors and trainers help get Sheamus out of the ring. Meanwhile, Orton gets Christian set up for his draping-DDT off the middle ropes. Christian ends up avoiding it. Bryan hits Christian out of nowhere with his running knee. He covers him — 1-2-3. Daniel Bryan just eliminated Christian. We’re down to just four guys in the match now — Randy Orton, John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro.
All four guys start to go at each other. When the smoke clears, Cena and Daniel Bryan are left alone and they notice each other. They slowly enter the ring and walk towards each other. Cena and Bryan start trading kicks. Now they trade punches. They’re fighting back-and-forth, tooth-and-nail. Bryan goes for the Yes! Lock on Cena but Cena reverses it into a STF attempt. Bryan avoids it. Cena goes for the A.A. on Bryan, but Cesaro breaks that up with an incredible show of strength, suplexing them. Cena ends up hitting Cesaro with the A.A. over the top rope. Cesaro crashes onto the steel floor outside the ring. Cena yanks Cesaro back into the ring and immediately locks him in the STF. Cesaro taps out. John Cena has just eliminated Cesaro.
We’re down to just Randy Orton, John Cena and Daniel Bryan now. John Cena locks Orton in the STF and out of nowhere The Wyatt Family cut-in happens. The arena goes dark. When the lights come back on, all three members of The Wyatt Family are standing in the Chamber. They clean house of everyone and then set their sights on Cena. They brutalize Cena, one-by-one. Bray hits Cena with his Sister Abigail finisher. They all leave as the fans in Minneapolis chant “thank you Wyatt.” Orton makes sure The Wyatt Family are gone and then slowly crawls over and pins Cena. 1-2-3. Randy Orton has just eliminated John Cena.
The Wyatt Family hang around right outside of the Chamber until Kane comes down in his suit and yells at them and orders them to leave the ringside area. Bray smiles and laughs and The Wyatt Family make their way to the back. The doctors and trainers are helping Cena exit the ring. Kane is still standing there. Out of nowhere, Bryan comes off the top rope and blasts Kane with a knee to the side of the head. Bryan has Orton hanging upside down off the top rope. He runs all over the place and dives into him with kicks over and over again. The fans start loudly chanting “Daniel Bryan, Daniel Bryan.”
Bryan goes to the top rope. Orton grabs Bryan by his beard and then nails Bryan off the top-rope with his draping-DDT move. Orton goes for the RKO. Bryan reverses it and nails Bryan with the running knee. Bryan covers Orton. 1-2…Kane grabs the referee and stops him from counting to three. Bryan is distracted by Kane. Bryan turns around right into an RKO. Orton covers Bryan, 1-2 …Bryan kicks out at two. The crowd explodes. Bryan rolls Orton up out of nowhere, 1-2….Orton kicks out at two. Kane ends up interfering again, setting up another immediate RKO by Orton. This time Orton pins Bryan and gets the 1-2-3. Randy Orton eliminates Daniel Bryan. Orton wins and retains his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
